Purpose
The purpose of our livestream is to serve those who are providentially hindered from joining us in person, those who are unable to attend. Its purpose is not to be a functional replacement for gathering when it’s inconvenient or undesirable (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Guiding Convictions
The word church means assembly; thus, corporate worship is by definition the embodied gathering of the Lord's people. Livestream/video of a service is not church.
Gathering is:
- Physical, not virtual
- Public, not private
- Covenantal, not individual.
Therefore, church is not something we see and hear, but a place among people where we are seen and heard.
